Texas Native Multi Grammy and Multi platinum artist Beyonce is set to perform for the NFL Christmas Game Day half time show. Unlike her previous NFL Superbowl performances – this time Beyonce has collaborated exclusively with Netflix along with her own company, Parkwood Entertainment to deliver us a Cowboy Carter Christmas Special. Beyonce is set to perform live at 4:30pm E.S.T on Wednesday December 25th, Christmas Day as the Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens at the NRG Stadium. The performance will be live streamed on Netflix. So we can expect the Queen Bey to be sharing her gifts during this holiday season!
Beyonce will be performing new songs exclusively from her “Cowboy Carter” album which she released in March. Although she received much criticism and no awards at CMAs (Country Music Awards) Mrs.Carter did receive her first country award at the Billboards Music Awards becoming the first African American woman to do so. Cowboy Carter debuted at number one on the Billboards making it her eighth studio album to do so. Giving us viral hit songs such as “Texas Hold Em” and “16 Carriages” amassing over 407,000 units as debut sales.
It is safe to say Beyonce is a multi genre selling artist who has laid the foundation for other African American artist, such as American singer and songwriter Shaboozey who released his number one country song “Tipsy” shortly after (April 12) who also appeared as a featured artist on Cowboy Carter. Cowboy Carter album features several iconic country artist such as the legendary Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone along with several upcoming African American Artist such as Tanner Adell, Willie Jones, and Brittney Spencer. Beyonce has teased that her half time performance would include a few special guest.
Beyonce has build much anticipation for her Netflix performance during Half time as fans yet to see her perform any songs from her #1 debut country album. Despite recent reporting of a full blown Beyonce concert, Mrs. Carter publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure took to X (formerly known as Twitter) responding to a false narrative of Beyonce performing a twenty minute set saying “Untrue, her performance will not be 20 minutes long”. This statement insinuates that Bey’s performance might run around the normal time which is typically around (12)twelve minutes long.
The NFL Netflix live streaming event will also have Grammy award winning songtress Mariah Carey, who will kick off the Christmas game day with the initial performance around 1pm E.S.T. where viewers can expect to see a pre recorded performance of her groundbreaking “All I Want For Christmas” song prior to the Steelers and Chiefs game at 1pm E.S.T. Beyonce live performance will happen a little later during the main game where the Houston Texans take on the Baltimore Ravens which begins at 4:30pm E.S.T.
Fans however have recently been unfollowing Beyonce and critiquing her due to association to her husband Jay Z admist new Jay z rape allegations where 13 year old recalls being sexually assaulted by both Sean Carter and Sean Combs. Although just allegations, rumors of Bey losing 4 million followers since the start of the P Diddy allegations have circulated. Many have insisted that not only is Beyonce performance a ploy but have noticed an increase of social media presence as she has been posting more on platforms such as Instagram and even including captions now. One thing for certain, the entire world will be watching Beyonce perform during her Netflix special Half time performance.
