Dame Dash Threatens Lawsuit Against The Breakfast Club Over “Defamatory” Interview

Dame Dash is turning up the heat: the veteran music mogul and entrepreneur has announced his intention to sue The Breakfast Club, accusing the popular radio show of defamation after a recent on-air confrontation.

According to Dash, the hosts twisted his words and portrayed him unfairly, contributing to a negative narrative he says is harmful to his reputation. He gave an example during a recent interview, claiming that the show insinuated he was wearing “dirty sneakers” — a detail he argues is a misrepresentation, since the audience couldn’t visually confirm such claims.

Dash says he already sent a demand letter not only to The Breakfast Club but also to parties affiliated with Chris Brown, whom he believes were involved in amplifying what he calls a smear campaign.

Beyond the sneaker remark, Dash criticized what he sees as double standards in how the show handles guests: he contrasted the way the hosts gave respectful treatment to conservative commentator Ben Shapiro with what he views as dismissive and slanted coverage of Black figures.

Dame Dash insists he would rather address the matter legally than resort to physical retaliation. “I’m not going to take it to the street,” he said, pointing to lawsuits as his preferred recourse.

As of now, The Breakfast Club has not issued a public response to the lawsuit threat.
