Cardi B vs. JT: The Rap Beef Just Turned Nuclear

Cardi B and JT’s feud has entered a new, volatile phase — and this time, the entire internet’s watching. Their once-cordial industry relationship has evolved into a full-blown war of words, disses, allegations, and counterattacks that threaten to redefine both of their public images.

The tension was reignited with the release of Cardi’s second studio album, Am I the Drama?, specifically on the track “Magnet.” On that record, Cardi took aim at JT and JT’s partner, Lil Uzi Vert, calling out what she framed as betrayal and fake friendship.  The lyrics struck a chord — but also lit the fuse on JT’s retaliation.

JT didn’t sit back. In a flurry of posts on Snapchat and X, she fired back at Cardi’s allegations about abortions and personal rumors, accusing Cardi of pushing false narratives and threatening possible legal action for defamation.  JT also zeroed in on Cardi’s partner, NFL star Stefon Diggs, by resurfacing an interview with Chris Blake Griffith, who alleged Diggs sexually assaulted him. JT reposted the segment and questioned Diggs’ sexuality, writing:

“CARDI B BABY FATHER A GAY MAN!!!!!!!!!! … JUSTICE FOR CHRIS I stand with the gays!!!!!” 

Cardi didn’t hold back in return. She posted alleged screenshots of texts involving Uzi and JT, claimed that Uzi forced JT into abortions, and suggested she had life-altering “receipts.” She also accused Griffith of fabricating his statements.  On social media, she defended Diggs and attacked JT’s character aggressively. 

What’s happening here is more than a celebrity spat — it’s a collision of reputations, power, and personal lives. On one side, Cardi is defending her relationship and preempting narratives about her moral character. On the other, JT is leveraging the controversy to reframe herself as a victim of rumor and to strike back hard at her former collaborator.

Whether this ends in reconciliation or total cancellation remains to be seen. But one thing’s for sure: there’s no going unnoticed this time around.
